Thoughtful Thursday 0033

Today's thoughtful Thursday is all about the letter J.  I have not made a card for this letter.  I am borrowing one from my friend Kim.  I didn't ask her permission.  So, I hope she doesn't mind being featured here on my blog this week!

Here are some ideas for J:  jewels, jute, jack-o-lantern, jack in the box, ... you get the idea!

Kim's card uses jute!

Lovely card, isn't it?!  I believe all of her supplies are from TAC.  This week's prize is supplied by none other than your friendly, independent The Angel Company consultant...ME!  I will be sending you out all 3 of our current catalogs, plus a lovely little stamp!

Please remember to add your link to Mr. Linky by noon (EST) on November 10, 2010.

Thanks for playing and have a thoughtful Thursdays!

Top Three 0032

I'm a day late!  Ugh!  Sorry about that!

There were only two to participate in the challenge this week.  So, I only have a top 2.

This is no particular order:

Cathy - I love your imagination card.  That's a word I never would have come up with!

Anne - Your ice skating card is super cute!  Love the sparklies!

Please remember to pick up the Top Three badge on the side bar if you don't already have it!

Thanks for playing,

Thoughtful Thursday 0032

Oh my goodness!  It's time for another fun challenge here at Other Lovelies.  I never knew how exciting it could be to travel through the alphabet.

Well, today the letter is I.  I have to be honest and tell you I stumbled over this one a bit.  However, I finally figured out something to show you.

Invitation!!!!!!

Seriously, I can't think of to many things that start with I.  So, what I came up with from my very small brain was invitations, ice, ice cream and igloos.  I hope to show you some more fun pictures of I things before the end of the challenge.  However, there is no school tomorrow.  I'm really not sure what I'll get accomplished over this long weekend.  I will try though and that's really all I can do.

Remember to add you link to Mr. Linky before noon (EST) on Wednesday, 11/3.

Thanks for playing!

Hope you have a thoughtful Thursday!

2. Cathy @ cards by the lake for going out on a limb (literally) with her bird house!

Ladies, don't forget to add your top three badge to your blog!

Tomorrow's challenge is proving to be quite difficult for my tiny brain this week!  Hmmmm...what can I do that starts with I.  We shall see tomorrow morning!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Thoughtful Thursday 0031

Today is H day here at other lovelies.  The thoughtful Thursday challenge:  your project must focus on the letter H.  I thought about it for about 2 seconds and decided that my H is going to be playing along with Haunted Design House challenge this week.  You can see it here.  So, the challenge there was lurid and lovesick.  Limited Runs Stamps just came out with some new digis that I think fit the bill for this challenge.  So, I decided to use them.

Sally Stitches is just ga-ga over Grimm.  She even baked him a cake in his likeness.

It's definitely a hauntingly Halloween type of a card!

Remember, add your link by Wednesday, 10/27 @ noon to be considered for the top three.

Can't wait to see your take on H!

Have a thoughtful Thursday!

Winner and top three for 0030

The winner for last week's challenge is....{drum roll please}....Mary C[and the crowd goes wild!]  You can see her interpretation of G here.  Mary, please email me your 3 selections out of the Grimm's collection from Limited Runs Stamps.

Don't forget to add my badges to your blogs.

The other two of my top three are:

2.  Sammibug entry #2     {applause}
3.  Katie Tate  {more applause}

Please click on their names to see what they've created!

Thanks to everyone for playing along!

Thanks for stopping by - have a wonderful Wednesday!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0030

I'm on time this week!  HOORAY!  Before I get into the challenge, I want to let you know about a couple of changes.

1.  From here on out, I will be posting a weekly top 3 on Wednesdays.  (At least that is the goal!)

2.  I ask that if you are named as a top 3 you add my top 3 badge to your blog (if you have one).

3. If it is a week that my challenge is sponsored, I ask that you please add my winner badge.

Now, on to the good stuff - We are on the letter 'G' this week!  For me, G is all about the Grimm's over at Limited Runs Stamps.  Speaking of LRS, they are sponsoring Thoughtful Thursday again!  This time if you are the winner - you may select 3 of Nikki's lovely Grimm characters.  Since it is the Halloween season, Grimm's would make lovely, frightening cards!  Remember, you get to decide what G means to you.  There are no limits from me (though it would be nice if you used one of the digi's from our wonderful sponsor)

I'm also adding these to Barb's Simply Sinister Challenge @ Haunted Design House.  And Stef's challenge of Halloween and Sparkle at Glitterbabe's Challenge.

I've used Madison and Goober.

Mark, my youngest says that Goober is much more frightening than Madison is even though she's the one with the hatchet!

Here, I think she turned Goblin Green 'cuz she doesn't want to kill the Thanksgiving turkey.

I also have a plan for Madison around Thanksgiving!  Let your imagination run wild with that!!!!  Ooohh, I may have given it away when I told you about turning Goblin Green! LOL ;-)

Please remember to add your link to Mr. Linky by Wednesday 10/20/10 @ noon (EST - eastern standard time) to be considered for the top 3.

Thanks for playing and have a thoughtful Thursday!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0029

YIKES!  6th grade is kicking my butt!  My youngest has a bunch of science fair stuff due tomorrow.  So, I'm way behind on everything!

We are on the letter 'F' in our journey.  Unfortunately, I have nothing made yet.  I do have suggestions:  flock, flowers, foamies....the list just goes on and on.

edited 10/13/10
You'll be happy to see I've finally added my take on 'F'.  For me, F is for frogs.  I've added two different photos.  Sorry it took me so long.  Hope you like them!

Please remember to add your link to Mr. Linky

Thanks for playing and have a thoughtful Thursday!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0028

I'm so glad everyone is enjoying our travels through the alphabet.  It seems that we have more participants every week.  HOORAY!

Last week's winner is Lorraine.  Please email me with your 3 digi choices from Limited Runs Stamps.

This week we've moved on to the letter 'E'.  You may use anything beginning with the letter 'E' this week - embellishments, elephants, emus, egrets....  I'm guessing this week will be all about the embellishments.  I'm hoping for some surprises too!

Here's mine:

Initially, I thought I would run with embellishments.  However, I realized that Madison (from LRS) could use some googly EYES!!!  I also used some bling for embellishing the corners because all of us girls love a little bling!!!!

Remember to add your link with Mr. Linky.

Thanks for playing along and have a thoughtful Thursday!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0027

I want to thank everyone who participated in last week's challenge!  It's the greatest participation I've had with this challenge blog to date!  You've all made my day, week, and possibly month!  So, thank you, thank you, thank you!

We are still traveling through the alphabet!  No 'D' is not for duh!  Well, I suppose if you have a Homer Simpson stamp or digi it could be!

I've decided that for me 'D' is for digi!  Nikki at Limited Runs Stamps found me and left a link!  She has some great digi's on her blog.  In addition, she has volunteered to be our sponsor this week!!!!!!!!!  The winner of this week's challenge will receive 3 of Nikki's digis.  Hop over to her site and check out her fun digis.

I've used LRS's tadpole #2 for my digi image.

Due to the huge amount of participation, I've picked two winners from last week's 'C' challenge:  KymKreates and Grace N.  Check out The Angel Company website and pick a $7.95 stamp set, email me your snail mail and your choice and I'll get them out to you ASAP!!  Also, I forgot to announce the winner from thoughtful Thursday 0025 is Audrey E.  Please email me your snail mail for your prize.

Don't forget to add your link by noon Wednesday 9/29 (EST) to be eligible for the digi prize!

Mr. Linky's support team is great and quick to reply!  It's fixed!!

Please feel free to leave me a comment!

Thanks for playing along and have a thoughtful Thursday!

C is for Christmas Cupcake!

I haven't used many digi's in the past.  I think I didn't like them because my printer ink seemed to bleed.  Through the advice of my many blogging pals, I found that my paper was the problem, not my printer.  So, I tried some paper that was higher quality than I had previously used.  Voila - wouldn't you know - I LOVE DIGI'S now!!!!

Nikki at Limited Runs Stamps has some great digi's.  This happens to be one of them!

What do you think?

I'm bummed that you can't see all the lovely glitter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0026

This week's challenge is the letter 'C'.  It can be chalking, coloring, cardstock.  The list is seemingly endless.  I haven't completed my project for 'C'.  I didn't want this post to be too late though.

So, please add your link before Wednesday @ noon (EST).

Thanks for playing along!

Thoughtful Thursday 0025

This is going to be one huge post!

My card for last week's challenge - A - is all about these fun apples.  I found this great laser cut paper at JoAnn's on clearance and couldn't resist.  Of course, it's for one of the boys teachers.  I just haven't decided which one yet!

The prize for TT 0024 is from TAC.  It is the Rockin Roxie Matchbook kit.  The winner chosen by the random number generator is #1 - Bettina.  Please email me with your snail mail.

We are on to the letter 'B' for this week's challenge!

I chose 'back to school'.  Yes, I know it's cheesy but it was what I've been working on.  Besides, it fit!

Please remember to add your link by noon on Wednesday(EST) to be eligible for this week's prize.

This week's prize will be the 'woodrowe' keepsake album kit on page 108 of the angel company inspiration and idea catalogue.

Thanks for playing along with Thoughtful Thursdays and have a great holiday weekend!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0024

We're going to try something different with the challenges.  I hope you all don't mind my experimentation.  I just like to have fun!

So, this week we are starting on a journey through the alphabet.  The challenge is to revolve your project around the letter A.  Now, you may think that I'm being restrictive but keep an open mind.  Your card, altered project, scrapbook page (whatever you decide) just needs to have a focus of something that begins with the letter A.  There could be an apple on the project or it could be a technique that begins with A.  So, basically - it's wide open.

I haven't finished mine yet.  So, I'll add it to Mr.Linky when I do.  In the meantime, upload all of your great projects to Mr. Linky by noon Wednesday (EST).

Thanks for playing!

Have a thoughtful Thursday!

BTW, the prize for this week will be posted with my project.  So, be sure to check back!!!!!!!!!

Badge!

I've added a badge to my side bar.  It's not the greatest and I promise to work on it and make it better.  For now, I would be honored if you'd add it to your side bar.  The more participants there are, the more inspiration we get!!!

Thanks,

Thoughtful Thursday 0023

Well crud!  I've done it again.  I had a post all ready and forgot to do it!  I've got to start taking my vitamins!

I'm so excited!  The Daily Dare recently added my blog to their list.  Originally, they had decided not to - I don't know what changed their minds but I'm extremely grateful!!!!!

Last week's winner chosen by the random number generator is:  Dorothy S.  Please email me with your snail mail.

Now, for the once again late Thoughtful Thursday challenge!  Use acetate on your project!  This is such a fun way to make a card or dress up any other project.

Please add your link to Mr. Linky by noon on Wednesday!

Thanks for playing and hope your Friday is fantastic!

Thoughtful Thursday 0022

Good Morning to you!

Our winner from TT0022 is #5 Sammibug picked by the random number generator!!!  Please email me with  your info!

For this week's challenge:  Make your art be related to...the weather!

I made this card the other day when our first tropical storm decided to blow through.

Somehow, it just seemed fitting.

This week's prize:

Please add your link to Mr. Linky by Wednesday at noon.

Hope your Thursday is thoughtful!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0021

Hmmm...well I have preposted this one!  I wanted to make sure that I had a challenge out there even though I'm in Indiana working my mobile spa business while visiting with family.

So, I'm still stuck on summer.  I was thinking that maybe I've been a little restrictive with my challenges lately.  So.... I decided that I'm just going to give you what I think are the colors of summer to work with!  HA!  When I think of summer it's yellow, orange and red.  That's the challenge...use yellow, orange and red on your art.  You aren't limited to those colors but you must have all three of them!

Here's mine:

Here's the prize:

Christmas Red stickles and Orange Peel stickles

Please remember to add your link with Mr. Linky by noon Wednesday

Thanks for playing and have a thoughtful Thursdays!

Thoughtful Thursdays 0020

Well, I'm a day late but thankfully not a dollar short.

This week's challenge is the beach!  It's summer time.  I'm still jonesing to to go to the beach.  Unfortunately, I haven't made it yet.  Good thing we have a pool!  So, you can use a broad spectrum here because your art needs to incorporate the beach in some form - any form!  It's all up to you!

Here's mine:

I'm not doing a prize this week.  It's just for fun this time!  I'll be visiting family in IN so, I won't have a chance to get a prize out this time!  Sorry!  Please play along anyway!

Please remember to add your link to Mr. Linky by noon on Wednesday!

Thanks for playing and have a thoughtful Thursday!
